Panel discussions to explain pre-law options

Students will have the opportunity to learn about the professional world of law today during WSU Pre-Law Day.

Pre-Law Day will consist of three panel discussions and a keynote speaker.

Debra Stephens, Washington State Supreme Court Justice, will deliver the keynote speech on how law can open up opportunities for public service.

“Students will get a perspective from someone who was in their shoes not that long ago,” said Cornell Clayton, director of the Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Service and Public Policy.

The three panels will discuss the law school admissions process, the law school experience and practicing law.

Guest speakers on the panels include Susan Lee, director of admissions at Gonzaga University School of Law, Don Burnett, dean of the University of Idaho College of Law, and Norma Rodriguez, director of J.D. admissions recruitment and diversity at the University of Washington Law School.
