The WSU women’s basketball team is currently hosting two camps to help younger students hone in their sport skills.
The Cougar Clash High School Camp, designed for students in grades 9-12, started Saturday and ends Tuesday.
This camp is aimed toward students with college-level playing skills and is supervised by the WSU coaching staff and team. It focuses on competitive play and skill development.
The fundamental day camp, for students in grades 3 through 9, begins Tuesday and runs until Wednesday. This two-day camp helps students with offensive and defensive skills – including passing, rebounding, ball handling, shooting, conditioning and mastering Cougar defense.
The event also features practice in league games, shooting contests, skill stations and 3-on-3 and 1-on-1 play.
