Small forward signs to play for Cougars

Ephrata native Patrick Simon signed a National Letter of Intent to play for WSU next season.

Head Coach Ken Bone announced Wednesday that Simon, a 6-foot-8 small forward, signed with WSU.

Simon earned first-team All State and All-Central Washington Athletic Conference honors following his sophomore season, but he missed all of his junior year with a broken foot.

Scout.com gives Simon a three-star rating and considers him the 43rd best small forward in the country.

Simon originally gave his verbal commitment to former Head Coach Tony Bennett in February 2007.

Bone also received a verbal commitment from junior college guard Faisel Aden on Monday, but has not received a Letter of Intent.

Aden averaged 20.4 points and 2.1 steals for game for Hillsborough Community College in Tampa Bay, Florida.
