Foul problems hurt WSU in loss to Arizona
Women’s basketball lost their 11th straight game as they were unable to get the victory.

The WSU women’s basketball team lost 73-66 to the Arizona Wildcats on Thursday. "We were in a little bit of foul trouble early in the first half," WSU Head Coach June Daugherty said in a WSU press release. "Because of that, our bench came in, and I thought they responded well. We weren't moving and cutting as hard as we had been, and we need to do a better job of that to have more successful opportunities."

Sophomore guard April Cook led the team in scoring with 13 points. Freshmen center Carly Noyes and KiKi Moore each added 11 points. Redshirt junior forward Katie Madison was the last Cougar in double digits, scoring 10 points. Noyes also had a team-high seven rebounds. Moore and sophomore guard Jazmine Perkins each recorded four steals. Noyes had three blocks against Arizona, bringing her total up to 37. Noyes set the WSU freshman, single-season record in blocks. WSU dropped to 5-16 on the season and is 0-10 in the Pac-10. The Cougars have now lost 11-straight games. Arizona went to 10-10 on the season and is 4-6 in conference play.
